Willow Lake Recreation Area has become a favorite spot for our club divers over the past several years. It offers decent visibility 10-15 foot average but on dives when the weather has been nice for a week or more the visibility can get up to about 25 feet. The max depth varies between 22-25 feet depending on lake water levels, although the median depth is about 12 feet with the mean depth beoing about 14-15 feet. This 27 acre lake sits on 220 acres of property which offers more than just diving. Camping, swimming, fishing, hiking, picnicing & boating are all common activities that happen here. There is also a playground for the young at heart to enjoy and a fishing dock for those who prefer to fish from shore. Six cabins area also available to rent if that is preferred over tent camping. When diving the lake a dive flag is required when boaters are on the water. This park is also home the to Iowa's Harrison County Conservation Board.
